Join us this summer as we walk 308 miles for people and the planet.

Why we’re walking

Behind the everyday products we use, from timber to palm oil, lies environmental destruction and human rights abuse. Big companies profit while communities in places like Malaysia’s Sarawak rainforest lose their homes and forests.

We’re shedding light on one urgent example: the destruction of Sarawak’s rainforests in Malaysia, driven by UK imports of timber and wood products.

Every year, Sarawak loses about 307.5 square miles of forest, nearly the size of Camden vanishing every 10 days.

We’re calling on the UK government to pass a new law that holds companies accountable.

#PlanetOverProfit

What Are We Doing?

From 16th June to 30th August, we’re turning miles into action by walking a total of 308 miles, the amount of forest lost each year in Sarawak due to UK timber imports.

Here’s how you can take part:

  • Walk or run, solo or with others, in your own time
Every step counts, whether it’s around your local park or organising a hike with a friend. Just a note, your usual commute doesn’t count! It needs to be intentional.
  • Track and share your miles
We’ll provide a simple app to log your progress and be part of the collective total.
  • Spread the word
Raise awareness by sharing the campaign with your friends, family, and community.
  • Invite others to join
Encourage friends, family, and local groups to walk or run a few miles for the cause.
  • Final group walk: Saturday 30th August
Join us for the final 6-mile walk from Camden to Parliament , symbolising a week’s worth of deforestation, and help us deliver a powerful message to decision-makers.

Saturday 30 August

We will start at Hampstead Heath and walk to the Houses of Parliament. This walk will take roughly 2 and a half hours.
